TALENT/KARAOKE SHOW

The Talent/Karaoke Show is probably the most anticipated event at The 12 Step Music Fest., not to mention for a good cause. The festivities for this event will kick off on Saturday starting at 10:30 am on the Main Stage.

Our brothers and sisters in recovery are quite a talented and varied group. Contestants will have 4 minutes to perform everything from karoke to original songs, poetry, rap, Shakespeare, as well as some we haven’t even thought of.

The atmosphere is always supportive, with the audience cheering and applauding for our fellow members. Even more so when an act is struggling or forgets the words.

Contestants in the show will be performing for a charity of their choice. After each act, baskets will be passed around the audience for donations and tallied for each performer. At the end of the show, the performer who has raised the most money for his or her act, will be the winner. ALL monies raised from the event will go to the charity that the winner performed for.

The winner will also get a chance to perform their talent on the Main Stage Sunday before the closing act.

All sign ups will be done online for this event, and acts will be chosen at random by lottery.

The lottery for this event will kick off on Friday 6pm on the Main Stage, with the drawing of the 25 contestants names and their time slot.

You must purchase a Main Event or Vip ticket to sign up for the lottery to perform at The Talent/Karaoke Show. Registration will end Oct 31, 2009.
